POLAND – Walter A. “Bepa” Bilodeau, 89, of Harris Hill Road, died Thursday, Dec. 1, at his home.

He was born in Livermore Falls on Sept. 4, 1916, the son of Henry and Georgianna Chicoine Bilodeau. He graduated from Livermore Falls High School and served in the U.S. Army during World War II.

He was married Feb. 8, 1940, to Eva Constantine, who predeceased him on April 24, 1999.

Prior to his retirement, he was employed at International Paper in Jay, was a member of the Quarter Century Club and was a member and past commander of American Legion Post 10 in Livermore Falls. He attended Eaton Memorial Methodist Church in Livermore Falls. He was an avid gardener and enjoyed woodworking and making latch-hook rugs.

He is survived by a daughter, Pamela Cleaveland and her husband, George, of Poland; a son, Walt Bilodeau of Phoenix, Ariz.; four grandchildren, Sally George and her husband, Rich, Debbie Lorenzano and her husband, Rick, and Ronald Bilodeau and his wife, Marney, all of Phoenix, and Christopher Cleaveland and his wife, Jennifer, of Poland; seven great-grandchildren, Anna, Keli, Anthony, Angela and Kyle, all of Phoenix, and Logan and Emily of Poland; two sisters, Jeannette Hartford of Auburn and Lorraine Ellingwood and her husband, Walter, of Livermore Falls; a brother, Norman Bilodeau and his wife, Bernice, of Livermore Falls.

He was predeceased by his wife; a grandson, Andy Cleaveland in 1985; a sister; and three brothers.
