I am concerned about the drinking water situation in areas of Maine.

Lewiston-Auburn water district officials have noticed an increase in fecal coliform counts during routine monitoring of the water quality of Lake Auburn. Lake Auburn supplies the public drinking water to the cities of Lewiston and Auburn.

To partially counteract that condition, federal government agents were employed to shoot sea gulls in the area to decrease the number of gulls defecating in the water.

On the other hand, that great conglomerate Nestle is pumping millions upon millions of gallons of pure water from Maine aquifers and selling it.

It seems to me that the good people of this state are being taken advantage of.
