Class lunch

MEXICO – The monthly luncheon for the Stephens High School Class of 1945 will be held at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 7, at the Mexico Chicken Coop. Call Connie at 364-8785 for reservations.

Progressive meal

NORWAY – The Heywood Club of Norway will meet for its annual Christmas party on Monday, Dec. 12, for a mystery progressive dinner. Members will meet at the clubhouse at 5:15 p.m. and car pool from there. RSVPs should have been received by Patty Rice at 743-2285 by Monday, Dec. 5.

In lieu of the Christmas gift exchange, a monetary donation will be taken for a needy family.

Trailblazers

Class to meet

RUMFORD – The Mexico High School class of 1955 will meet for a luncheon at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 7, at the Candlepin Caf at Oxford Lanes on Route 2. For more information, call Doris at 562-8392.

Resource team

MEXICO – The Youth Resource Team will meet at 3 p.m. Friday, Dec. 9, at the Teen Scene, Mexico Recreation Center.

Teddy Bear Dance

PARIS – The Swingin’ Bears Square Dance Club will host its annual Teddy Bear Dance from 7 to 10.m. Saturday, Dec. 10, to support Right Start Christmas for Kids.

Each couple attending is asked to bring a stuffed toy. It will be a fun dance for new class members, with mainstream and plus level dancing, intermingled with round dancing.

Visitors are welcome free to the dance at Oxford Hills Middle School, Pine Street. John Thompson of Waterford, club caller, will do the calling and cueing. Refreshments will be served at intermission.

Holiday dinner

RUMFORD – The Widows and Widowers Sharing will hold a Christmas dinner at noon Wednesday, Dec. 14, at the United Methodist Church, Linnell Street. A ham dinner will be served for $7.

All reservations need to be made by Friday, Dec. 9. Call Evelyn Charron at 364-8105, Elaine Anastasio at 364-8335 or Margaret Aleck at 364-8624. All widows and widowers are welcome.
