TEMPLE – Mildred D. “Millie” Jones, 77, of Temple, died Sunday, Dec. 4, at her home in Temple, following a short battle with cancer, with her loving family at her side.

She was born on Jan. 8, 1928, in Freeman, a daughter of George and Alice (Dumphy) Daggett. She attended schools in Freeman, Strong and Pawtucket, R.I. She was married to the late Floyd Ladd, Fred Winn Jr., and William R. Jones.

She was employed at Forster’s in Strong, Livermore Shoe in Livermore Falls and Forster’s in East Wilton, where she retired in 1989.

She enjoyed knitting, cooking, canning and gardening, and especially enjoyed being in the company of her family.

She is survived by three sons, Alfloyd Ladd and his wife, Bonnie, of Farmington; Vondel Ladd and his wife, Linda, of Skowhegan; Joe Ladd and his companion, Shirley Walker, of Strong; five daughters, Quinnale Kinsey and her husband, Joey, of Wilton, Connie Violette and her husband, Doug, of East Sumner, Valdora Frost and her husband, Terry, of Livermore Falls, Katina Shepherd and her husband, Earily, of Mendon, Mich., and Kenda Adams and her companion, Paul Duguay, of Farmington; stepchildren, Alison Hagerstrom and her husband, Thomas “Tom,” and Stephen Jones and his wife, Rhonda, all of Farmington, and William Jones and his wife, Ann, of Newfield; a brother, Ernest Daggett and his companion, Dora Fish, of Farmington; 22 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, stepgrandchildren and cousins by the dozens.

She was predeceased by her husbands; and the following siblings, Andy, Burt, Quinn, Blaine, Delmont and Lee “Buster,” as well as Grace Pratt, Freda Linscott, Ella Anderson and Germaine Lord.
