PORTLAND – Rose M. Warren, 86, passed away on Dec. 3, after living a life full of love, faith, enthusiasm and hard work.

She was born on June 29, 1919, in Troy, N.Y., the daughter of Edward A. and Catherine (Walsh) Dunn. She was educated at Troy’s Catholic High School, graduating in 1936 from Catholic High School.

She assisted her father in his real estate and appraisal business for several years, before marrying her husband, Leon A. Warren, in 1942.

Her life revolved around her family. While working as a secretary in her husband’s office for the Boy Scouts of America, she was an active participant in all her children’s school activities. She began to play golf in order to spend more time with her husband and surprised herself by being good at it. In fact, she and Leon enjoyed many years of golfing at their winter home in Arcadia, Fla.

She loved the outdoors and was always happy walking in the woods around her home on Parlin Pond near Jackman, or hunting and fishing with her sons.

She is survived by her brother, Thomas J. Dunn, of Naples, Fla.; her son, Craig Warren and his wife, Cyndi, of Falmouth and New Gloucester; her daughter, Paula Broydrick and her husband, Steve, of Portland, with whom she lived; and by four grandchildren, Adam Miller, Kevin Broydrick, and Kelli and Kayla Warren. She also leaves her dear friends, Zip and Beren Harrington of Parlin Pond Township, and Kathy Quick of Arcadia Fla.

She was predeceased by her husband in 1998; her son, Derek, earlier this year; and by her beloved black lab, Gator.
