MEXICO – Joan Cassidy Rumley, 69, died Wednesday, Dec. 7, at her home in Mexico. She was a resident of Granite Street in Mexico.

Born in Farmington on Dec. 12, 1935, she was a daughter of Thomas and Glenna (Robinson) Cassidy. She attended schools in Farmington and Mexico.

She worked as a clerk at Rommy’s Market, Dee R’s Dress Shop and the Lamp Post.

She was a member of the Mexico Congregational Church and the Women’s Fellowship of the church, the Red Hat Society and the Rolling Dozen Bowling Team.

She was married on June 18, 1955, to Cecil J. Rumley Jr., who predeceased her.

Survivors include three sons, Robert Fulton and his wife, Judy, of Rumford, Gary Rumley and his wife, Mary, of Rumford Point, and Ronny Rumley of Mexico; a daughter, Loriann Rumley and companion, Michael Arsenault, of Mexico; grandchildren, Lacy Gallant of Mexico, Lindsay Arsenault of Mexico, Robert Fulton Jr., and Jen Fulton of Tuckerman, Ark., Thomas and Tiffany Fulton of Rumford, Jessica Buransky and B.J. Buransky of Merritt Island, Fla., Scott Carlton of Lewiston, Kelcy Rumley and Ronny Rumley Jr., of Naples, Fla., Amy and Ryan Goodwin of Brunswick, and Kaylee Rumley and Gary Rumley, Jr., of Rumford Point; great-grandchildren, Zach Fulton and Lexie Fulton of Tuckerman, Ark., McKenzie, Tommy, Tasha and Brittany Fulton, all of Rumford, and Aidan Goodwin of Brunswick; sisters, Loretta Cassidy Bard and husband, Melvin, of Farmington, Althea Cassidy Brown and husband, Keith, of Sterling, Va., and Linda Cassidy Kozlowski and her husband, Joseph, of Rochester, N.Y.; brothers, Thomas Cassidy of Farmington, and James Cassidy and his wife, Cindy, of Farmington Falls; sister-in-law, Connie Cassidy of Rumford; and special friends, Dena, Clara and Banan.

She was predeceased by parents, Thomas and Glenna; and a brother, Bernard Cassidy.
