RANGELEY – The second annual Mountain Holly Days will be held Saturday and Sunday, Dec. 10 and 11, in the Rangeley and Oquossoc area.
Shops will go all out to put on their most vibrant face in a best-decorated building competition. Local restaurants will tempt hungry revelers with special seasonal treats. Caroling, sleigh rides, appearances by Santa and a Santa’s Elves Workshop will highlight the weekend. The traditional walk to Bethlehem will be held.
A Mountain Holly Days Raffle will award winners with prizes of a Christmas tree loaded with gift certificates worth $1,155, $500 and $200 in “Rangeley Cash.” Discounts at participating stores will apply to purchases of goods ranging from art to antiques, furniture to fishing equipment, clothing to quilts and gifts of all sorts.
New this year will be a special shoppers’ drawing. During Mountain Holly Days, shoppers, with a $5 or more purchase, may have the coupon available in the program stamped at any participating shop. Turn in coupons with five stamps to the Alpine Shop or River’s Edge Sport Shop by 3 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 11, to be included in the drawing, with a grand prize of 100 Rangeley dollars.
Child care wil be available at the Congregational Church Barn. For more information, call the Rangeley Chamber of Commerce at 1-800-685-2537 or check out the complete schedule at www.rangeleymaine.com.
