He’s funny. He’s hot. And he’s coming to Maine.
Larry the Cable Guy, one of four Blue Collar Comedy Tour performers and billed as the “hottest comedian in the U.S.,” is coming to the Augusta Civic Center.
Larry’s CD, “The Right to Bare Arms,” continues to be the top-selling comedy album in America, consistently remaining in the top 10 country CD’s since its release in early 2005. His book, “Get-R-Done” was listed on The New York Times bestseller list.
A typical line from the beer swilling comedian focuses on the general topic of the day.
“Ever since the hurricane went through Mexico, Corona beer is now up to $3 a barrel. Speaking of hurricanes, my Grandma’s gas problem is getting worse. Last night, the National Weather Service has upgraded her farts to a Category 5 so I have to go over and tape up her windows up this weekend! I really am starting to feel sorry for FEMA.”
The Cable Guy won’t be here until April 28, but tickets are already a hot commodity. At least one radio station is giving ducats away because they’re expected to go fast. The tickets officially went on sale Friday.
