LIVERMORE – Laurence and Marlene Pare of Livermore recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary, during a trip to Disney World in Florida.

They were married at St. Rose of Lima Church in Jay on Oct. 15, 1955.

In the days before leaving for their Disney vacation, they were surprised by dinner and gifts from several family members. Mrs. Pare’s sister, Gloria Norton, provided a beautiful anniversary cake.

Their son, Mark, his wife, Marcelle, and their granddaughters, Elizabeth and Sarah of Turner, joined them at Disney World. Also joining them were their daughter, Gail, and their other granddaughter, Larissa, both of New Hampshire.

One of the highlights of the trip was a surprise dinner on the evening of their anniversary. Their son and daughter turned back the clock to 1955 with a dinner at the 50s Cafe at Disney’s MGM Studios.
