LEWISTON – Theodore F. “Red” Fournier Jr., 56, of Buckfield, passed away on Friday, Dec. 9, at the Heart and Vascular Unit at Central Maine Medical Center surrounded by his many family and friends.

He married Susan Douglass of Buckfield on March 11, 1978.

He was a very hard-working man, always making sure his family was provided for. His last place of employment was Jewell Tire in South Paris.

He was also a member of the Buckfield Volunteer Fire Department for several years. While his children were growing up, he enjoyed coaching their softball and football teams. He and his wife spent summers at Martin Stream Campsites in Turner, where they made many wonderful friends. He enjoyed spending time with his family, friends and especially his many grandchildren.

He also enjoyed beano, horse shoes, croquet, pinball, playing pool with his buddies, watching wrestling and NASCAR racing, and taking care of his pets. Most of all, he loved sitting at the table with the love of his life, his wife Susan, playing cards and dice games.

He is survived by his loving wife of 27 years, Sue, of Buckfield; three daughters, Darla (Gregory) Costilla and her husband, Adam, of Corpus Christi, Texas, and their six children, Sherry (Lessard) Peer and her husband, Tom, of Buckfield, and their two children, and Tammy (Lessard) Deegan and her husband, Marc, of Lewiston, and their four children; three sons, Douglas Fournier and his wife, Stacy, of Turner, and their four children, including twin girls, Theodore Fournier III and his fiance, Alicia Connors, of Portland, and their two children, and Matthew Fournier of Portland. He had 17 wonderful grandchildren. He is also survived by two sisters Janet (Fournier) McGowan of Lewiston, and Patricia (Fournier) Raymond and her husband, Robert, of Sabattus; several nieces and nephews; as well as many wonderful friends.

He will be sadly missed by all who knew him.
