Seniors party

PARIS – The Lake Thompson Senior Citizens will meet for the annual Christmas party on Thursday, Dec. 15, at the Market Square Restaurant, South Paris.

Everyone will choose dinner from the menu. Each is asked to bring a gift to exchange. Guests and new members are welcome. For more information, call 743-0093 or 743-0555.

Live Nativity

OXFORD – The 23rd annual Live Nativity will be presented at 4 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 17, in front of the Oxford Advent Christian Church, Route 26. The 40-minute pageant telling the story of Jesus’ birth will include costumed characters, live animals, music and a stable and inn.

The public is invited to attend the free presentation. A meal of fish and corn chowders, biscuits and cupcakes will be served to the public in the church dining hall after the performance. Donations will be accepted for the meal.

Kids crafts

PARIS – Children of all ages are invited to the West Paris Library during the days before Christmas to make fancy and festive bookmarks for the readers on their Christmas lists.

Kids can stop in at at their convenience, and sample bookmarks and the necessary materials for making them will be available. Christmas envelopes will be supplied to mail creation to a friend or relative.

The library is open from 1:30 to 6 p.m. Mondays and Fridays and from 1:30 to 7 p.m. Wednesdays.
