RUMFORD – A Christmas in the Valley Choir Festival will take place at 7 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 18, at St. Athanasius and St. John’s Church. The Rumford United Methodist, Rumford Episcopal, Mexico Congregational and St. Athanasius and St. John’s choirs will perform.

The program will consist of selections by the Mexico Congregational Church under the direction of Bev Cantin and by St. Athanasius and St. John’s Choir under the direction of Mark Belanger.

All four church choirs will combine, creating a choir of more than 80 voices. Evan Belanger also will play the trumpet with the choir and with the organ. The concert is free, but donations will be accepted to defray the cost of the music.
