BATH – The Maine Gay Men’s Chorus will begin its 14th season with its winter concert titled “An Evening in December” at the Chocolate Church Arts Center. Featured will be traditional and not-so-traditional arrangements of well-known holiday music from around the world. The program includes early and classical music, jazz, old-fashioned Christmas and Hanukah pieces, and pieces arranged for gay men’s choruses across the country.
Returning as guest conductor for the evening’s concert will be Bruce Fithian, founding director and longtime supporter of the Maine Gay Men’s Chorus, an organization of gay men and their allies, dedicated to excellence in the choral arts.
Through music, the chorus strives to deliver a message of inclusiveness and understanding.
