Candlelight vigil

LEWISTON – A Candlelight Vigil for the Homeless will be held at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 21, the longest night of the year, at the Larry Raymond Park, corner of Lincoln and Main streets. The Lewiston Auburn Alliance for Services to the Homeless is coordinating the vigil in observance of the National Homeless Person’s Memorial Day.

Bridge results

LEWISTON – The Lewiston-Auburn Bridge Club winners at the Multi-Purpose Center on Dec. 13 were: first, Patricia Garcia and David Lock; second, Nancy Lindgren and Roger Briggs; third, Martine Begert and Jeanine Kivus; fourth, Flo and Paul Ludwig; first in B, Susan Kaluzynski and Donna Bartlett; second in B, Betty and Doug Sise.

Winners at Schooner Estates on Dec. 14 were: first, Martine Begert and David Lock; second, Lucille Bilodeau and Mary Leahey; third, Sherrie Hinckley and Fred Letourneau; fourth, Les Buzzell and Misha Tomic; second in B, Patricia and Mike Quinn.

Games are played at 9 a.m. Tuesdays and 7 p.m. Wednesdays and a partner is guaranteed. Call Rosemarie Goodwin at 783-1734 for more information.

The holiday parties will be held at all games next week.
