WELD – Weld Transfer Station will be closed Sunday, Dec. 25, but will be open from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday, Dec. 26, and from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 1, as usual.

Featured speaker

WILTON – Western Mountain Women’s Connections will meet for lunch and inspiration from 11:15 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 3, at the Boiler Room.

Featured speaker will be Jessical Shaw of Jay, revealing some of the Weight Watchers secrets of weight management through better eating habits.

The inspirational speaker, Nancy Tanguay of Rye, N.Y., will give her own story through word and song on forgetting the past and looking toward the future.

Square dance

PARIS – The Swingin’ Bears Square Dance Club will hold its monthly square and round dance from 7 to 10 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 14, at the Oxford Hills Middle School, Pine Street.

Scott Williams of Auburn will call for the square dancing, alternating class level and plus level. He will also cue the rounds. Refreshments will be served at intermission. Nondancers are welcome.
