RUMFORD – Roger Whitehouse, broker and owner of Riverside Realty at 152 River Road, Mexico, was installed as the 2006 president of the Mountain Council of Realtors on Dec. 1.

Whitehouse was president for 2005 and accepted a second term.

He retired from the Maine Department of Labor and purchased DeSalle’s Motel on the River Road three years ago. He then opened his real estate office, which now serves much of western Maine. Nine agents work with him.

Mark Schoenthaler of Noye’s Agency, Rangeley, was elected vice president for a second year in a row.
