LIVERMORE FALLS – The Livermore Falls-Jay Senior Citizens met Dec. 19 at Murray Hall with 32 members present. Chairwoman Shirley Couture opened the meeting then read a Christmas poem. Mary Groleau led the group in “O Come All Ye Faithful.”
It was noted that Lorette Chabot and Sybil Bailey are at Sandy River Nursing Home receiving therapy and are doing well.
James Williams gave readings. The group sang “Happy Birthday” to those who celebrate their birthdays in December: Mary Potter, Edith Gay, Shirley Toncer, Marilyn Desoto, Noella Mercier and Naomi Teixeira.
Couture extended her thanks to those members who helped her with the Christmas party. The group held the monthly Chinese auction, which was successful. The 50-50 was won by Margaret Slovak.
The group will be on hiatus until Monday, Jan. 9, at which time they will have the first sign-up for the SeniorsPlus monthly meal. The meeting was adjourned, and cards and games were played.
