JAY – The Jay Amvets Post 33 began its Special Olympics fundraising with the annual Golf Scramble and Pig Roast at Maple Lane Inn and Golf Course in Livermore recently.

Kevin and Laurie Cullen were the hosts. The pig was purchased by Gene Weed and he donated his time to roast the pig.

The annual kickoff dinner and auction is scheduled for 4:30 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 21, at the Amvets post. Auction items and donations can be made in advance by contacting Dick Therrien at 897-4112 or Gerry Toothaker at 778-9417.
