PHILLIPS – Frances Eleanor McKenzie, 92, passed away in her home in Phillips on Dec. 10.
A well-loved elementary teacher in Newton, Mass., for 30 years, she began teaching in Solon, Farmington, Bath and Augusta.
After Rumford High School and Farmington Normal School, she received her bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Columbia Teachers College.
She is survived by nieces, nephews and their offspring.
The youngest of ten brothers and sisters, Frances was predeceased by brothers, John, Herbert and George and by sisters, Janet, Berilla, Sarah, Margaret, Betty and Jean.
