AUBURN – Verne Paradie, Jr., poured in 25 points to power unbeaten LA Dox to a 44-41 victory over the LA Orphans in the Auburn Rec Men’s Slowdown Basketball League this week. Kendall Bremner added 5 points to the winning attack. Jared Kuvaja paced the Orphans with 15 points. Bill Lawler added 7.

There are two other unbeaten clubs, both just a half game behind Dox. One of them, is Brew Crew, a team that defeated Fitness World 58-51. Joe Harris sparked the winners with 18 points. Mike Belanger added 13. Mike Lance (14) and Christian Gurney (13) led Fitness.

Pike Industries remained unbeaten a third game, rolling past Free Agents 64-25. Jared Erskine netted 22 for Pike. Jake St. Hilaire added 11. Jesse St. Laurent paced the Agents with 11. Theo Anderson was next with 6.

Ben Lachance scored 14 points and Jay Arnold added 8 as Hooligans ran their record to 3-1 with a 55-44 triumph over West Shore. Larry Jackson (8) and Bob Bowie (6) paced the Westies.

Chris Randall torched the nets for 22 points and Jim Davis added another 21 as Scott Thayer Auto raced past Insomniacs 69-34. Ryan Parlin scored 18 in a losing effort. Tim Fickett added 8.

JF Murphy knocked off Rocky Mountain Oysters 54-41 as Chad Lutick netted 12 and Peter Cloutier 8. Matt White and Derek Galway each scored 8 for the Oysters.
