Sunday service
NORWAY – The Sunday service for Jan. 8 at the First Universalist Church, Norway, Unitarian Universalist, 479 Main St., will be at 11 a.m. Child care will be provided as well as a religious education program for children.
Choir practice will be at 9:30 a.m. with Heather Pierson, music director. The service will be led by Murad Sayen, a Sufi Shake, the the Sufi equivalent of a minister. Sayen is also a writer and photographer and has been a frequent speaker at the church. His topic will be “Finding Hope in a Daunting World.” All are invited.

Club to elect
NORWAY – The Heywood Club of Norway will meet at 7 p.m. Monday, Jan. 9, at the home of Marilyn Eaton, Crockett Ridge Road. A new slate of officers will be voted for the following two years. Members are asked to bring ideas they might have for programs at future meetings.
