WEST PARIS – Emma Maria Bodnar, 80, of Rumford, died Monday, Jan. 2, with family by her side, at the Ledgeview Living Center, West Paris.

She was born in Goldbach, Germany, on Jan. 19, 1925, a daughter of Anton and Maria Kempf and had attended schools in Goldbach, Germany.

She was married in Germany in 1946 to the late Stefan Bodnar. She was a communicant of St. Athanasius-St. John Church and was a loving mother and grandmother.

Survivors include two daughters, Roswitha Buotte and husband, Lee, of Rumford and Christine Wolford, of Evansville, Ind.; a sister, Rosa Reuter, of Germany; four grandchildren, Peter Buotte and wife, Amanda, of Rumford, Vincent and Maria Gomez and Justin Wolford, all of Evansville, Ind.; and a great-granddaughter, Brooke E. Buotte , of Rumford.
