LEWISTON – The Lewiston CareerCenter has announced a new resource for unemployed professionals in the Lewiston/Auburn area.

The Unemployed Professionals Group will meet at the Lewiston CareerCenter on the second and fourth Friday of each month from 8:30 a.m. to noon beginning Jan. 13.

Unemployed professionals will meet to network, exchange job leads and hear from guest speakers regarding the latest job hunting and hiring trends.

A sample of topics to be presented include: Networking: How to Get In Front of The Area’s Influential Business People & Leaders and Finding a Job Using a Staffing Service.

Representatives from Toastmasters, the Chamber of Commerce, and local business leaders are also scheduled to present. Attendees are encouraged to bring their rsums and business cards.

The Lewiston CareerCenter is part of a statewide network of 22 locations providing one-stop employment resources for job seekers and employers.
