On Nov. 9, Mr. Richard Green kissed a pig! Mr. Green is the principal at Philip W. Sugg Middle School in Lisbon. Last year, he made an incentive for the 8th grade class. If they earned the average MEA score, they would receive a pizza party. If they improved scores from the last few years, they could dye his hair pink. If they exceeded the standards, he would kiss a pig!
To make a long story short, Mr. Green did kiss a pig. There were nine people there to witness: three freshmen students, one officer, the pig’s owners, and three 8th grade teachers. Mr. Green kissed the pig once on the cheek.
Reportedly the pig is doing fine today. However, Mr. Green did hug a different pig that passed away only days later!
The incentive for this year’s 8th graders is a pizza party or an ice cream party.
