Elm Street School participated in the Pine Tree League math meet on Nov. 17. Twelve schools gathered in Raymond for the competition. There were three different tests; arithmetic, geometry and team.
The age groups included sixth, seventh, and eighth graders. Many students participated this year.
Elm Street School definitely didn’t go home empty handed! The sixth graders won third place in the overall group competition. The teammates were Taylor Oles, Kaitlyn Roy, Allison Morris, Josh Girardin, Jesse Ferguson, and Chad Davis. They proudly took home a plaque.
Eighth grader Brent Landry won first place for individual scores. He took home a beautiful trophy, and the pride of a job well done! The other eighth graders there were Lindsey Kasik, Nathan Williams, and Natasha Piirainen.
Good job Elm Street!
