LEWISTON – Barbara C. Lemieux, 95, formerly of Winthrop and of Central Avenue in Lewiston, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 11, at Marshwood Nursing Home.

She was born in Augusta on March 21, 1910, a daughter of Orin and Grace Harriman Frost. A graduate of Cony High School and Machias Normal School, she taught kindergarten for 22 years in the towns of Winthrop, Manchester, Gouldsboro and Windsor.

She is survived by her daughter, Ann Clark, of Gardiner; her stepson, Paul and wife, Linda Lemieux, of Orlando, Fla.; her stepdaughter, Janet and husband, Charles McMahon, of Rockland; her sister, Helen McKenney, of Waterville; three grandchildren, David S. Patterson, of Bangor, Kathryn Patterson, of Richmond and Colin A. Clark and his wife, Jessica, of Augusta; one great-granddaughter, Cassidy Grace Clark; eight step-grandchildren; four step-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her first husband, Ellis W. Gerrish, in May 1978; her sister, Lt. Col. Anna Marie Hunter, in October 1995; her son, Donald Gerrish, in 1990; and her second husband, Lionel Lemieux, January 2004.
