• Gene Casey, 29, of Main Street, Mexico, was arrested at 12:30 a.m. Jan. 1 on a charge of operating under the influence after a rollover on the River Road. Chief Jim Theriault said Casey was driving his 2000 Jeep when he apparently lost control, veered to the left, then skidded into the woods. The Jeep landed on its side. Neither Casey nor his passenger, Robert McAtee, 32, no address available, were hurt. Casey was released on $5,000 surety bail from the Mexico Police Department. He is scheduled to appear in 11th District Court, Northern Oxford Division, on March 7.
