GARDNER, Mass. – The wedding of Irene Mathieu and Gary Camire was held at 1 p.m. on Oct. 23 at the Colonial Hotel by Clarion in Gardner, Mass. Richard Griesel, notary public, officiated at the ceremony.

Mrs. Camire is the daughter of Raymond Mathieu of Lewiston and Theresa Mathieu of Augusta. Mr. Camire is the son of Maurice and Jacqueline Camire of Old Orchard Beach.

The bride, given in marriage by her father, carried a bouquet of sunflowers. Ceremonial readings were presented by Rodney Camire of Sicklerville, N.J., brother of the bridegroom, and Ramona Lachance of Lewiston, sister of the bride.

A reception followed at the Colonial Hotel by Clarion, after which the couple traveled to Disney World in Orlando, Fla.

The bride is a 1997 graduate of Lewiston High School and is employed as assistant branch and sales and service manager at IC Federal Credit Union.

The bridegroom is a 1989 graduate of Lewiston High School and a 1996 graduate of the University of Maine at Orono with a bachelor’s degree in kinesiology/physical education. He is employed at RFK Lancaster School as a physical education and health teacher.
