LEWISTON – Tickets are available at Shaw’s Supermarket on Center Street in Auburn for the Lewiston-area Charitable Fuel Fund Dinner.

The fundraiser, initiated by Lewiston-area legislators with the goal of raising more than $12,000 to help area families pay for home heating fuel this winter, will take place from 5 to 9 p.m. Friday, Feb. 3, at the Lewiston Multi-Purpose Center.

Recording artist Leah Wolfsong, pianist Phil House and comedian Gary Crocker will perform at the event, according to the organizers, state Rep. Margaret Craven, D-Lewiston, and state Sen. Peggy Rotundo, D-Lewiston.

Tickets are $5 per person. The menu will feature a lasagna dinner with salad and dessert, and door prizes will be awarded. All proceeds will go toward the Keep ME Warm initiative for Androscoggin County area families.

Businesses and individuals can also donate to the cause by making checks out to: Keep ME Warm Charitable Fuel Fund and sending them to: Androscoggin Bank, P.O. Box 1407, Lewiston, ME, 04243 – Attention: Keep ME Warm Fund. People can specify that they want their donation to come back to this community. Bates Mill LLC will match up to $5,000 in donations.
