GARDINER – The Maine Technology Institute board of directors approved 15 seed grants to technology companies across Maine. More than $145,000 was awarded, leveraging more than $200,000 from other sources.

Among them was Composite Housing LLC in Durham. It will conduct a building system code feasibility study for its Ambiente Housing System, a prefabricated panel system utilizing recycled material and high strength composites.

The application deadline for the next round of grants is Feb. 16. Information about seed grants is available at http://www.mainetechnology.org./
