WEST PARIS – The “Little Castle” Library, also know as the Arthur L. Mann Memorial Library, held a holiday fundraiser, which ended Christmas Eve.

Of the 160 people who made donations, there were 24 winners. Biggest winner was Kevin Billings, who won a $50 gift certificate for swimming at the Mollyockett Motel pool and $25 from Nancy’s Hilltop Pool and Spa.

A total of $1,210 was netted for the library building fund, and $190 was returned by winners.

A “Black Fly” calendar raffle will be held in late May and early June, and wooden cutouts of the library may be purchased for $18.

Starting in February, the Book Club Discussion Group will meet at 6:30 p.m. the first Wednesday of each month at the library. The book for February will be “My Sister’s Keeper” by Jodi Picoult.

There are 32 DVDs available, adult and children’s movies. They may be taken out for one week at a time.

The library was dedicated on Sept. 4, 1926, by Lewis Merritt Mann in memory of his son, Arthur.
