ORLANDO, Fla. – Ryan Jeremy Guay, 22, of Orlando, Fla., and Sabattus, died on Jan. 16, as the result of a motorcycle accident in Florida.

He was born on Nov. 18, 1983, in Lewiston, son of Daniel Guay and Lisa (Jean) Pengel.

As a youngster, he excelled in many sports, including playing for L-A Youth Hockey for approximately 10 years. He also played lacrosse and soccer throughout his school years. He loved motor sports, raced his little Honda 50 as a youngster and in later years continued his love of motorcycles and recently purchased his first Harley.

He also had a passion for music, playing drums and jamming with his brothers and many friends.

He graduated in 2002 from Oak Hill High School in Wales. After high school he attended New England School of Communications in Bangor, for one year, to follow his dream of working in the sound recording industry. During the summers, he worked for General Concrete Cutting.

In July of 2005, he started school at MMI, Harley-Davidson Motorcycle Mechanics Institute in Orlando, Fla., to pursue a career in that field. He often commented to his family and friends that he had found a career that he really loved and excelled in. Mechanics became his passion, and his high grades proved that he really enjoyed it. His family and friends were waiting for the days when he would make them custom motorcycles.

He made friends wherever he went. His smile was contagious, and he lit up every room he entered with his great personality and friendliness toward everyone he met. Ryan was a wonderful uncle to his nephew, Levi Thomas Guay, 2. Ryan gave Levi his first Mohawk haircut at age 1.

He was an individualist, sporting Mohawks in different colors.

He loved snowboarding, and recently traveled to Lake Tahoe, Calif. He hoped to travel more, as seeing the West really made an impression on him.

He is survived by his parents, Lisa Pengel and her husband, Jeff, of Bethel, Daniel Guay and girlfriend, Laura Bradeen, of Greene; brothers, Greg Guay, of South Carolina (University of Charleston), and Thomas Guay, of Sabattus; nephew, Levi Thomas Guay, of Sabattus; maternal grandparents, Gerard Jean Jr. of Pacifica, Calif., Rita L. Jean of Lewiston, paternal grandparents, Paul and Lorraine Guay, of Lewiston; maternal great-grandmother, Dorothy Bolduc of Lewiston; paternal great-grandfather, Gerard Jean Sr., of Lewiston; many aunts, uncles and cousins; and many, many loving friends throughout the United States.
