BRUNSWICK – The Theater Project’s ninth annual “Winter Cabaret,” which has some new features this year, will run Jan. 27 and 28, Feb. 3 to 5 and Feb. 10 to 12.
Showtimes are at 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday and at 2 p.m. Sunday.
This year’s cast includes “Cabaret” veterans Lee K. Paige, Michele Livermore Wigton, Christopher Price, Keith Anctil, Craig Ela, Al Miller and Poole herself.
“This year’s material is as funny as ever,” said Director Wendy Poole. “Our music offerings this year will be enhanced by a piano organ and other musicians who will play with ‘Cabaret’ veteran Peter Dugas.
“And this year’s benefit night, Saturday, Feb. 4, will be ‘The Director’s Cut’ and will feature several surprises available only that evening.”
“Winter Cabaret” will also feature desserts from The Humble Gourmet and coffee from Cafe Creme in Bath.
Winter Cabaret has been one of The Theater Project’s most popular events.
Artistic Director Al Miller calls it “theater for people who like theater and also for those who don’t think they do. ‘Winter Cabaret’ is great fun for the actors and great fun for the audience.”
Project Manager Joanna Patterson said it’s “a happy prescription for the midwinter blahs.”
Suggested ticket price is $15, except for the fundraiser on Feb. 4 when all tickets will be $35. For reservations and information, call the box office, 729-8584.
