SOUTH PARIS – Irving “King Cash” Lashin, 88, of Oxford, died Sunday, Jan. 22, at the Market Square Health Care Facility with his loving family by his side.

He was born on July 24, 1917, in New York, to David and Lena Clark Lashin.

He was formerly married to Jacqueline Lashin.

He married the former Ina Thorpe, who predeceased him on March 24, 1974.

He had worked for many years in the used car business and was well-known for the grocery store that he ran for many years under the name of “King Cash” in Oxford.

He was a longtime member of the Lewiston singles club. His favorite pastimes were working at his store, the horse races and dancing.

He is survived by a son, Marco Lashin and his companion, Noy Srisomsak, of Florida; a son, Lance Lashin and his wife, Cathy, of Otisfield; a daughter, Sandy B. Lashin Curewitz and husband, David, of Auburn; two sons to Mildred Lashin, David and Robert; and two grandsons, Jason and Ryan Lashin.

The family wishes to thank Androscoggin Home and Health Care and the Market Square Health Care Facility for their wonderful patronage that was given to Mr. Lashin.
