AUBURN – Aurea Ida Lee, 81, of Auburn, died Sunday, Jan. 22, at the Odd Fellows Home.

She was born on Jan. 26, 1924, the daughter of Francois and Cora (Cote) Samson. After graduating from high school she worked in the Auburn shoe shops.

In 1947, she married Robert LaFontaine and they had a son Richard. In 1977, she married Richard Lee with whom she loved to go camping and fishing.

She is survived by her son, Richard LaFontaine and his wife, Mary; three grandchildren, Julie, Angela, and Brian LaFontaine; four great-grandchildren, Tyler and Trevor Robichaud, and Atia and Isaac LaFontaine.

She was predeceased by her parents; husbands; and all her siblings.

Aurea’s family would like to express their deep appreciation to the staff at both the Odd Fellows Boarding and Nursing Homes for their extraordinary care and compassion that the have exibited in the time Aurea was under their care.
