AUBURN – Yvonne L. Polisky, 75, of Auburn, formerly of Mechanic Falls, died Saturday evening, Jan. 21, surrounded by her loving family, after her courageous battle with cancer.

She was born in Morrisville, Vt., May 21, 1930, the daughter of Yvonne LeClerc. She grew up and attended school in Lewiston, where she lived most of her life.

She was employed at Knapp Shoe, Sing’s Restaurant, Ross Variety and Ames Department Store, before retiring in 1995.

A loving mother and grandmother, she was always willing to help her family. She loved working outdoors and being at the ocean. Her hobbies were sewing, shopping, cleaning and organizing.

She is survived by her two sons, Mark S. Polisky and his wife, Tracy, of Oxford and James R. Polisky and his wife, Cynthia, of Auburn; five grandchildren, Megan, Kurtis, Austin, Ethan and Brandon Polisky; two sisters, Jeannette Cappella and Delores Larrivee, and a brother, Donald Foster, all of Massachusetts.

She was predeceased by her husband, Austin E. Polisky, on Jan. 20, 1964, in Lewiston; and a sister, Noella Kincaid of Massachusetts. She will be sadly missed by all.
