Eighth graders in Mrs. Billy Jo Brito’s Career Prep class at LMS got a chance to mock interviewed. It was just a “little something that I like to do,” says Mrs. Billy Jo Brito. It is supposed to allow students to get a feel of what to expect in the future when they apply for a job. Many students dressed up for this interview, as they were supposed to. It is a great experience for the students who will be entering the workforce.

They received suggestions from the volunteer interviewers. I asked Mrs. Brito if she would be willing to do this sort of thing again. “I love doing this even though it is not required by the state,” she says. “But it is hard work to get volunteers and to set up times and get things ready. If I had the time to do it every quarter, I definitely would!” she told me.

Ultimately, it was a once-in-a-school year event for the 8th graders of Lewiston Middle School.
