PORTLAND (AP) – Longtime TV news anchor Doug Rafferty is expected to make a full recovery and return to the air after suffering a stroke on the job last week.
Rafferty, a news anchor on CBS affiliate WGME-TV, suffered a minor stroke last Thursday, said WGME News Director Dave Kaplar.
Rafferty was experiencing symptoms of the stroke while he was on the air, Kaplar said, and is now recovering at home and is expected to return to work soon.
Rafferty has been at WGME since 1991.
