LEWISTON – Jeannette A. Pelletier, 82, formerly of 950 Sabattus St., died Wednesday, Jan. 25, at Ste. Marguerite d’Youville Pavilion.

She was born in Lewiston, Oct, 25, 1923, the daughter of Gedeon and Marie Bizier Gagnon. She was educated in Lewiston schools and worked at Bates Manufacturing Co., until her retirement in 1986.

She was married to Lionel E. Pelletier on June 26, 1948, at St. Louis Church in New Auburn. She was a member of Holy Family Parish and the Ladies of Ste. Anne Sodality.

She was a devoted wife and loving mother and grandmother. Her grandchildren loved their “Memere.” She enjoyed baking for them, especially their favorite cookies. She took great pride in her home and enjoyed spending time outdoors, including countless hours on her swing. She was a very proud woman who loved music and dancing, and could be very funny. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her daughter, Joline Gagne and her husband, Maurice, of Lewiston; two sons, Roland Pelletier, of Fort Lauderdale, Fla. and Richard Pelletier (J.R.) and his wife, Brenda, of Sabattus; four grandchildren, Jeffrey Gagne, of Lewiston, Amy Gagne, of Hamilton, Mass. and her fianc, Joseph Perry, and Audrey and Tyler Pelletier, both of Sabattus; three sisters, Yolande Labonte, of Lewiston, Theresa Dube and her husband, Donald, of Lewiston and Bernadette Vallieres, of Lewiston; three brothers, Reginald Gagnon, of Auburn, Raoul Gagnon and wife, Myrtle, of Jacksonville, Fla. and Bertrand Gagnon and wife, Gisele, of Lewiston; and many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her parents; her loving husband, Lionel on March 26, 2005; sisters, Lucienne Albert, Liane (Sister Elise) Gagnon and Rose Gagnon; and brothers, Roland and Maurice Gagnon.
