NORWAY – Michael Robert Cooper, 50, of Ryerson Hill Road, South Paris, died Wednesday, Jan. 25, at Stephens Memorial Hospital.

He was born in Aberdeen, Md., on July 25, 1955, the son of Verlin and Leonie Schilling Cooper. After graduating from Oxford Hills High School in 1975, Mike proudly served in the U.S. Army in the Armored Division for three years, one year in Germany.

He had been employed at Robinson Manufacturing for 20 years and worked on the family farm. His hobbies were photography, hunting and driving his four-wheeler through the woods. He enjoyed spending time with his friends and lived life to its fullest.

He is survived by his mother, Leonie Cooper, of South Paris; a sister, Catherine Cooper, of South Paris; a brother, Verlin Cooper and his wife, Stephanie, of West Paris; a sister, Carmen Adler and her husband, David, of Mt. Tremper, N.Y.; his son, Joseph Rathbun, of Hebron; three nieces; and two nephews.

He was predeceased by his father, Verlin Cooper.
