A considerable investment was made a few years back to name the streets in Turner and put visible numbers on the homes to facilitate emergency vehicle responsiveness. Many of the streets were assigned family surnames.

I can only assume it is interesting for folks to have a street sign with their name in their home because, for the second time since the initial effort, my street is without visible designation; the signs were stolen once again.

Anyone considering removing a street sign for their personal use should recognize that action puts residents in danger of not receiving prompt emergency response, plus it is costing the town time and money for replacements.
