LEWISTON – Terrence C. Brown, age 70, of Spofford Street, died unexpectedly early Saturday morning, Jan. 28, at Central Maine Medical Center.

He was born Oct. 3, 1935, in Norway, the son of Curtis and Dorice (Bradbury) Brown. He attended school in South Paris and at Leavitt Institute in Turner.

Terrence served in the U.S. Marine Corps.

On Nov. 22, 1957, he married Agnes Harlow of North Turner at the Oxford Roller Skating Rink.

He worked as a laborer in construction, a shoe worker and then a farmhand at chicken and dairy farms in the Turner and Livermore area.

Terrence was a member of the North Turner CB Club; his handle was “Gremlin.” In the late 1950s and early ’60s, he raced stock cars at Oxford Plains Speedway.

He enjoyed bicycle racing, hunting, fishing, camping, slot car racing and skating at Oxford Roller Rink.

He is survived by his companion; three daughters, Wanda Benson and her husband, David, of Leeds, Linda Lee Williams and her husband, James, of Auburn, and Ina Filoa of New York; two sons, Curtis Brown and his wife, Kristine, and Terrence “T.C.” Brown, both of Auburn; eight grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; a former daughter-in-law, Nancy Brown of Turner; a brother, Vern Brown of South Paris; brother-in-law, Eugene Harlow and his wife, Ann, of North Turner; and many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his parents; and two grandsons, Michael Paul Day and Berry Williams I.
