LEWISTON – Cecile Lacasse Paraskevakos, 91, of Lewiston, passed away at the d’Youville Pavilion on Jan. 30.

She was born in Lewiston, on Nov. 18, 1914, a daughter of the late Arthur and Zelire (Vachon) Lacasse. She attended Lewiston schools and then went on to work in the shoe shops. She later met and married Charles Parakevakos in 1942; he predeceased her in 1972.

She was very talented when it came to crocheting, she loved to make all sorts of various things, she was very crafty. Another hobby that she had was making flower bouquets. She greatly enjoyed playing cards and beano with her friends.

She was a member of the Sacred Heart Church, St. Patrick’s Church and Holy Family Church.

She is survived by her son, Robert Paraskevakos and his wife, Ghyslaine, of Sabattus; her grandchildren, Sherry Barghi and husband, Ali, Sandy Norman and husband, Rocky, Nikki Boucher and husband, Bob, and Scott Paraskevakos and wife, Karen; her great-grandchildren, Kendle Patrick and husband, Henry Jonathan, Kara Norman and her fianc, Christopher and Richie Paraskevakos; a sister, Fernande Rodrigue of Auburn; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

She was predeceased by her husband; her parents; three sisters, Lucienne Marchand, Emeliane Labbe, and Flora Laliberty; and her three brothers, Armand, Gerard and Evangelist Lacasse.
