LEWISTON – Louise E. Dumont, formerly of Sabattus, died Tuesday evening, Jan. 31, at d’Youville Pavilion, where she has resided for the past four years. She died peacefully, surrounded by close friends.

She was born on Sept. 7, 1915, in Canada, a daughter of Omer and Marie (Groleau) Turcotte. She had four brothers and three sisters.

She married Carise Dumont on Sept. 30, 1944, in Lewiston, and he died on Jan. 16, 1971.

She has been one of Jehovah’s Witnesses since September 1953. She will be deeply missed by her many friends who knew her well for her kind, generous and hospitable spirit. She enjoyed sharing her Bible-based hope with others for nearly 53 years.

She is survived by one brother, Domonique Turcotte; two sisters, Germaine Morin and Mathilda Grundon; a nephew, Laurent Turcotte; a son, Roger; and three grandchildren, Mathias, Naomi and Melody.
