ST. CLOUD, Fla. – Wilma Frances Anderson, 83, of 1019 16th St., St. Cloud, Fla., and 10 Hemlock Lane, Clearwater Lake, Industry, died Tuesday, Jan. 31, at home after a long illness.
She was born in Farmington on March 29, 1922, the daughter of Frank and Bertha (Merrill) Gilbert. She attended Farmington schools, graduating from Farmington High School in 1941.
On April 4, 1942, she married Paul H. Anderson. She was a loving wife and active homemaker raising three children. For more than 25 years, she helped her husband, Paul, operate Trask Jewelers in downtown Farmington until their retirement in 1981.
Throughout her retirement, she found great joy in the company of her children and grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Paul Anderson; three children, Larry Anderson of Renton, Wash., Judith Brust and her husband, Robert, of Marriotsville, Md. and John Anderson of Temple; one brother, Reginald Smith of Manchester, Conn.; five grandchildren, Thomas Anderson, Jennifer Brust, Kristina Unger, Rebecca Anderson, Judd Anderson; and dozens of nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by two brothers, Joseph Gilbert of Farmington, Winfred Smith of South WIndsor, Conn.; and a sister, Bertha Hodgkins of Coventry, Conn.
