Special ceremony

RUMFORD – Rumford American Legion 24 and Auxiliary will meet at 4 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 5, at the Post Home, Congress Street, for a special ceremony to honor the “Four Brave Chaplains” who lost their lives when the U.S.S. Dorchester sank off Greenland on Feb. 3, 1943. Lunch will be served at 5 p.m. with meetings to follow at 6. All members and guests are invited to attend the special ceremony.

PERU – The Peru Snowmobile Club will meet at 7 p.m. Monday, Feb. 6, at the fire station.

RUMFORD – Those wishing can make their own Valentine card from 1 to 5 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 11, at Scrappers Domaine. Jennifer LeDuc from Stamping Up and Scrappers Domaine will be present.
