Bangor trip

MEXICO – There will be a bus trip to Hollywood Slots in Bangor on Sunday, March 5. Cost will be $25 a person. The bus will leave Wal-Mart at 9:30 a.m. and return at 6 p.m. Money needs to be received by Monday, Feb. 20. Anyone interested may contact Muriel Shurtleff at 562-7550 or 364-3333.

Shrub, tree sale

OXFORD – The Oxford County Soil and Water Conservation District is selling trees and shrubs. There will be more than 100 varieties offered.

Those interested can stop by the office at 1570 Main St. and pick up a brochure or call Heidi at 743-5789, ext. 3. Staff will take orders until April 24. The orders will be filled on a first-come, first-serve basis. Pick-up date will be 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, May 6, at Crystal Spring Farm.

The district also has trout for sale to put in ponds. Order forms and stocking permits are available at the district office. The last day to order trout is May 8. The trout will be delivered at the office at noon Thursday, May 11. Those picking up trout must have their permit from Augusta.
