NORWAY – The Norway Youth Group will host a statewide Youth Ski Weekend on Saturday and Sunday, Feb. 11 and 12.
They will meet at the First Universalist Church, Norway, Unitarian Universalist Saturday morning for a day of skiing, returning for dinner and activities that night.
The group will stay at the church Saturday night and attend the worship service on Sunday. There will be 30 to 50 youths and adults participating from UU churches all over the state.
Gay DeHart is organizing dinner Saturday night and Kevin Farr is organizing breakfast Sunday morning. Worship Chairwoman Cynthia Seavey and Northeast District Unitarian Universalist Youth Adviser Helen Zidowecki are scheduled to lead the worship service.
The sermon will be delivered by Kay Hawkins, former Norway UU member. Services will start at 11 a.m., and child care will be provided.
Heather Pierson will lead the music. Choir practice will be at 9:30 a.m.
