LEWISTON – The wedding of Angela Roy and Shawn Robitaille was held on the evening of Nov. 4 at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception in Portland, where the Rev. Roberto Lacasse, uncle of the bridegroom, and Msgr. Paul Stefanko officiated at the ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Daniel and Jaqueline Roy of Lewiston. The bridegroom is the son of Donald and Carol Robitaille of Lewiston.
The bride, given in marriage by her parents, wore a princess style strapless white beaded gown with full tulle skirt and she carried an autumn bouquet of red roses with purple and peach accent flowers.
Rebecca Roy, sister-in-law of the bride, served as matron of honor, and bridesmaids were Danielle Potvin and Sarah Mackenzie, friends of the couple. Lydia Roy, two-year-old niece of the bride, was flower girl.
Serving as best man was Scott Robitaille, brother of the bridegroom, and groomsmen were Nick Roy, brother of the bride, and Josh Lacasse, cousin of the bridegroom. Garrett Mack, two-year-old cousin of the bridegroom, was the ring bearer.
A reception followed at the Eastland Park Hotel in Portland, where the bridegroom surprised the bride with a honeymoon to Napa Valley, Calif., for a tour of the wineries, which he announced after singing to her.
Mrs. Robitaille is a 2000 graduate of Lewiston High School and a 2005 graduate of Susquehanna University. She is employed as a pre-school teacher at Carol Ann’s Daycare Center.
Mr. Robitaille is a 2000 graduate of Lewiston High School and a 2005 graduate of Susquehanna University. He is employed at Bowdoin College.
The couple is currently residing in Lewiston.
