PARIS – Students of the Month for February at Oxford Hills Comprehensive High School are Mariah Hawkins, freshman; Ashley Lowe, sophomore; Samantha Chambers, junior; and Melissa Shelton, senior.

Each month, the high school staff members nominate students who they feel have “made a difference in their classroom.” The program is sponsored by the Oxford Hills Rotary Club and coordinated through the Oxford Hills Community Education Exchange.

The four students were praised for their strong work ethic, commitment to their academic success, compassion toward other students and fabulous attitude.

The students’ names and picture were placed on a plaque that hangs in the hallway across from the school library. In addition, the students had lunch with the principal and on Feb. 1 they were honored at a Rotary breakfast.
